The special moments with your Grandmother, and the unique traditions like breaking the wishbone are incredibly touching. It's these personal touches that make the holiday so meaningful. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving filled with warmth and joyful moments.

This brought back a lot of memories for me! My great-grandmother's stuffing (why did we soak the bread and then wring it out???), my mother's green bean casserole with toasted slivered almonds instead of onions, my own cranberry-shallot chutney that nobody likes but me. I love the reminder that we are making memories in every moment, our own and everyone else present. I bet I'd be a whole lot more even-tempered if I could hold onto that! Happy Thanksgiving.

Aww, thanks Maggie! When I began writing I was frustrated about the logistics and planning of Thanksgiving, but the more my fingers hit the keyboard, the more I was reminded of good memories around the Holiday. I also realized that my granddaughters are just now starting to realize what traditions are and I could influence that in a positive way. (or not!) I'll be holding on to that thought during the day. Thanks for reading my post. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. P.S. Bread stuffing is the best!
