There is shockingly little medical, financial, or social services support out there for caregivers of our country's elderly. So often it's a medically untrained family member, just flat-out stressed and exhausted and doing the best they can under almost impossible circumstances. Thanks for shining on light.

Thanks for reading Maggie! I know the need for loving caregivers hits close to home for you as well as many of our contemporaries. More and more Baby Boomers and Gen X-ers are caring for their parents as well as their grandchildren. Support and resources are needed now and will be well into the future.

Thanks for sharing this look at the life of a loving caregiver. While most family caregivers care for the elderly, there are also those who care for the young as well. I’ve done both - for my son, for a grandparent and a parent. I wouldn’t have traded that time for anything.
