Reflection on New Beginnings
“Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.” —Alan Cohen
Politics aside, I sense a lot of changes in 2025. I love the “clean slate” feeling at the beginning of the New Year. For me, this also occurs seven months later on my birthday, allowing for a second chance.
“I discovered that a fresh start is a process. A fresh start is a journey—a journey that requires a plan.” —Vivian Jokotade
With the Holidays upon us, time seems to speed up and slow down simultaneously. There are more obligations, get-togethers, deadlines, and overall heightened activity. At the same time, we take the opportunity to reflect. We have gratitude for all the blessings of the past years, celebrate our family traditions, and plan for the future.
“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me, and I’m feeling good.” —Nina Simone
The end of the year gives us an opportunity to seek change and growth in the coming months. It allows us to redefine our goals and embrace whatever comes our way. Reflection helps us understand our past and envision our future.
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” —C.S. Lewis
Wishing all of my readers in the U.S. a happy Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends. Hoping that everyone experiences quality time and fond memories with those they love, and moments of reflection to embrace the changes that are available to us in the coming year.
“There is only one today, celebrate the small moments.” -Mary Davis
