It’s Friday. Do you ever have that nagging feeling that you’re forgetting something important but can’t pinpoint what it is?
It’s been two weeks since Hurricane Milton disrupted our lives in Florida, leaving us without power, spoiling food, and damaging trees, power lines, and roofs.
Thankfully, life is starting to return to normal.
I focused on my health, exercise, and diet this past week. I spent time with family and friends, visited a local pumpkin patch, ran errands, gained new insights about the characters in my novel, and returned everything to its place, indoors and out. (Except for the always-ignored garage.) I also watered plants, dusted off my Cricut machine, and researched recliners suitable for tall people.
(I can empathize with my younger granddaughter’s feelings)
It’s been a productive week!
However, as I sat in front of my computer this morning, I realized something was missing. I smacked my forehead in frustration as I remembered—I hadn’t written or published this week’s Substack post, which is a goal I’ve maintained for the past 65 weeks.
How could I forget that?
Since it’s only Friday, I know there’s time to catch up over the weekend.
As I’ve mentioned before, some posts are better than others—progress not perfection.
Wherever you are as you read this, I hope your weekend is going splendidly. My wish for you is to remember everything necessary for a joyful life, be grateful, and take time to relax and enjoy!
I’ll be back next week.
Thanks for reading.
Keep smiling!
xx
